We put together a list of the 12 best vintage shops and thrift stores in Berlin (all tried and tested), and split them per area and era. We are experts in vintage shopping and have done all the work for you, so you can just choose your area, find your favourite vintage stores and shop till you drop!

This vintage store in Charlottenburg is a treasure trove of the most rare and unique vintage fashion from all over the world and one of the absolute best vintage shops around. Specialising in menswear and womenswear from the 1920s to the 1950s, Glencheck is lovingly curated and your shopping experience here will be nothing short of exquisite. You will find collector pieces as well as unique 30s and 40s style knits to last you a lifetime.
Tip: donât forget that this store in only open Fridays from 11 to 6 and Saturdays from 12 to 4.
A 10 minute walk from Glencheck you will find the antique shopping street of Berlin, also known to locals as âAntik Meileâ (Antiques Mile): SuarezstraĂe. This street is definitely worth a visit if you are a lover of old curiosities and antique furniture, and you will not be disappointed.
On this street you will find Die Spitze, one of the most popular vintage shops in Berlin. Here youâll find frocks, lingerie, purses and textiles from the 1930s to the 1960s, for both ladies and gentlemen. They stock a great selection of colourful 1940s and1950s frocks.
Tip: most shops on Suarezstrasse open at 2PM during the week so donât go too early.
Mimi is one of our favourite vintage shops in Berlin. The interior of the store alone is worth a visit, itâs like stepping back into an elegant boutique of the 1920s. Mimi offers a selection of antique and vintage clothing for sale from the 1850s to the 1950s. Prices for mid century fashion are reasonable. Mimi also offers high end menswear and womenswear 1920s reproduction clothing for hire, which is very popular if you are planning a night out in Berlinâs premiere 1920âs event Boheme Sauvage.
Tip: donât be afraid to have a look at separates and get on the ladder!

Just across the house where Christopher Isherwood lived in the late 20s, inspiring the brilliant novel Goodbye to Berlin and later the musical Cabaret, you will find the vintage boutique FrÀulein Anders. You cannot mistake its surreal window displays in this elegant street.
The beautiful boutique offers mid century clothing and accessories (40s, 50s, 60s and some later garments) and some reproductions of these eras. Donât miss this vintage store if youâre visiting this part of Schöneberg, once the pulsating heart of Berlinâs nightlife.
Tip: the charming FrÀulein has a Youtube channel about vintage style (at the moment in German only)
In a courtyard on the vibrant Bergmannstrasse you will find one of the largest vintage shops in Berlin; formerly known as Colours and now belonging to the expanding chain of vintage stores Pick Nâ Weight, this popular store offers a huge variety of vintage and second hand clothing for men and women. Here youâll find anything from Hawaiian shirts to vintage fur coats, boots, bags and everything in between. Price is by the Kilo, but they have a huge bargain section with garments starting at 4âŹ. This is a fun place if you are visiting this part of Kreuzberg, with its many restaurants, independent shops and the great food hall Markthalle.
Tip: the store is on the first floor of a warehouse building and if you need a break during your quest to find the perfect 70s flares, you can have a coffee in the in house coffee and lounge corner.
This beautiful boutique on Kreuzköllnâs SanderstraĂe is THE place to visit if youâre looking to buy a vintage kimono in Berlin. Aura offers beautiful traditional kimonos and kimono jackets, as well as a small but highly curated 60s to 80s vintage selection, which is very reasonably priced.
Tip: this seemingly quiet street is full of gems so make sure you explore this vibrant area.
If designers and fashion from the 1980s and 1990s are your thing, then this Sing Blackbird is for you. A few doors down from Aura Berlin, this shop on Sanderstrasse is also a popular café which hosts events from time to time. The shop offers a curated selection of interesting vintage from the 80s and 90s, and also later designer items. Think LA meets Berlin.
Tip: their smoothies are delicious!
Thereâs always an opportunity for vintage shopping in Berlin, and Treptow makes no exception. Vintage Berlin offers a wide variety of vintage fashion from the 1930s to the 1970s for men and women, with friendly staff.
Tip: Behind the shop front is huge warehouse room reserved for clothing that is off season or for sale in their online shop. If youâre looking for anything in particular and ask nicely, you may (or may not) be able to find your special treasure.

Rocking Chair is one of the best vintage shops in Berlin and the whole of Europe, specialising in mid-century Americana for men and women. The shop is full of 1940s, 50s and early 60s Hawaiian shirts, collectible American vintage fashion, handbags, bakelite jewellery and everything your vintage heart desires.
Tip: the stock is organised by size so you donât need to get distracted
If you like thrifting and have a few hours to spare then the largest branch of Humana in Berlin is perfect for you! Spread over 4 floors full of second hand goodies, this storeâs top floor is dedicated to vintage clothing. They even have a few rails dedicated to DDR (GDR) vintage. The prices for Humanaâs vintage selection are increasing but you should still be able to find a bargain.
Tip: Humana are opening more and more branches with dedicated vintage sections, check out their site for addresses throughout the city.
Open since January 2018, this store is the newest addition to the shopping area that this part of Mitte has become.
Tip: if you canât get enough of vintage shopping, you can hop over to the storeâs smaller sister just over the road, only a few meters away on Neue Schönhauser Strasse.

Mauerpark and Neukölln flea markets are fun, but if you love true vintage head over to Old Fleas, a regular vintage shopping event held in Berlinâs oldest dance hall Ballhaus Berlin. Vintage lovers from the capital and beyond gather here, and you can be sure to find a true vintage gem at a very reasonable price.
Old Fleas is a vintage market rather than a shop, so check out their site for upcoming dates.
Tip: make sure you donât forget to try the old Bakelite telephones at this beautiful venue.
Old Fleas, Berlin’s only vintage market, wish you all a happy new year and we hope to see you again in 2019.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your ongoing support.
